My Trip to South Africa

My journey started in the Kruger Park, driving for a whole day and spotting Elephant, Giraffes, Buffalo, Rhino and Hippos.

South AfricaKruger is the size of Wales and has 18 gate entries.   After leaving the Kruger we visited private game Lodges which are amazing they are so unique, you never want to leave them.  Whilst staying at one of the Lodges Mala Mala we had two game drives early morning and late afternoon, and saw Leopard, Lions and Cheetah, a great end to our time in the game reserves, and we had seen the Big 5.

South AfricaThe second part of my journey through South Africa took me along the Garden Route, not knowing what to expect, I was overawed by the sheer beauty of the scenery, we travelled past mountains, forrests, coastline, our journey took us through Plettenberg Bay, Knysna where we stopped for Oysters and champagne, so if you are an Oyster lover Knysna is the place to be.We eventually reached Hermanus to watch the Whales.  As we arrived the people of Hermanus were preparing for a Whale festival to last two days, a very special place and great to watch the Wales.

After leaving Hermanus we travelled on to Paarl, the scenery was spectacular, the winelands are just beautiful, and the wine tasting a must.  After leaving Paarl which is only 25 mins from Capetown, we arrived in Franschoek, a very pretty area with nice shops.

Finally making our way to Capetown, to the vibrant water front, and sat with a large glass of wine and watched the world go by.

My trip to South Africa I shall never forget, we were welcomed with friendliness everywhere we went, and I would definitely go back.
